UK’s Tokamak Energy Raises £67m In Funding Round
Tokamak Energy, the UK nuclear startup which is aiming to produce a fusion power reactor that is connected to the grid by 2030, has raised £67m in a funding round.The raise, which was the Oxfordshire-based company’s largest to date, involved both long-time backers such as British financial services company Legal & General and new ones like Swiss businessman and lawyer Hans-Peter Wild.Mr Wild is best known as the owner and chairman of family business Rudolf Wild & Co, which manufactures products including Capri Sun juice drinks.
