US-based Jacobs has signed a partnership agreement with NNB Generation, the company behind the $30bn Hinkley Point C nuclear power station project in Somerset, England,

The agreement outlines that Jacobs will remain a partner on the project until the station is commissioned and confirms Jacobs’ status as a preferred supplier.

It is the first time that NNB Generation, majority owned by France’s state utility EDF, has signed a partnership agreement with a professional services provider and Jacobs said it paves the way for similar agreements for HPC and its wider supply chain.

EDF is building two EPR units at Hinkley Point C. The start of electricity generation from the first unit is expected in June 2026.
