Westinghouse Expands European Nuclear Maintenance Centre

20 Dec (NucNet): Westinghouse Electric Company inaugurated an extension to its European Maintenance Centre in Nivelles, Belgium, to provide an additional 1,000 square metres of maintenance and storage space to support nuclear power plant servicing.

The company said the investment, of more than eight million euros (10.9 million US dollars), will contribute to the creation of up to 30 new engineering, technician and operator jobs in Nivelles.

The centre provides design and maintenance for nuclear power plant large components and equipment. Facilities include a 2,000-square-metre pump and motor maintenance and repair centre.
