The process for choosing a site for Italy’s planned national radioactive waste storage facility must take place with the “utmost transparency and completeness of information towards citizens”, Vannia Gava, undersecretary of state at the ministry of ecological transition told an online hearing to evaluate candidate locations on 7 September.
