Data Shows 189 Radioactive Material Incidents Were Beyond Regulatory Control In 2019

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has published data showing 189 incidents involving nuclear and other radioactive material were out of regulatory control in 2019.

According to a statement, the incidents were reported by 36 states and indicate that unauthorised activities involving nuclear and other radioactive material, including incidents of trafficking and malicious use, continue to happen.
