Fuel Removal Behind Schedule As Decommissioning Of Japan’s Monju Begins

14 Dec (NucNet): Fifty-four of the 530 fuel assemblies at the Monju fast breeder reactor in Japan have been removed from the reactor core and transferred to a used fuel pool, the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) has told the nuclear regulator, according to a report by the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum.
