Government Tasked To Negotiate With South Korea’s Hyundai For Construction Of New AP1000 Reactors At Kozloduy
The existing Kozloduy nuclear station has two 1,000-MW Russia-designed VVER units in operation.
Bulgaria’s parliament has tasked the country’s energy ministry and state-owned Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant company to begin negotiations by 15 April 2024 with South Korea’s Hyundai E&C for the construction, delivery and eventual commissioning of the proposed Kozloduy-7 and -8 AP1000 nuclear reactor units.
