Poland wants to have nuclear in its energy mix as a way of meeting European Union climate policy targets, Polish government official Piotr Naimski told a US-Poland nuclear industry conference taking place in Warsaw today.According to local media reports, Mr Naimski, who is responsible for key energy infrastructure in the ministry of energy*, said that nuclear is part of the ongoing energy cooperation “dialogue” agreed between Poland and the US in October 2018.
