Nuclear Share Increases To More Than 19%
The share of nuclear power in Russia’s energy mix increased to 19.04% in 2019, up from 18.7% in 2018, state nuclear operator Rosenergoatom said.In the Unified Power System (UPS) of Russia the share of nuclear power plants increased to 19.3%, up from 19.1% in 2018. The UPS does not include the generation of electricity in isolated, not interconnected power systems, such as electricity generated by the Bilibino nuclear station in Chukotka, in Russia’s far east.
