20 Jun (NucNet): The reactor pressure vessel (RPV) for China’s Changjiang-2 nuclear unit has been lifted into place, China Nuclear Industry Construction Company said.
The operation to place the RPV, which weighs approximately 250 tonnes, took place on 5 June 2014.
The Changjiang site in Hainan province, southern China, has two units of the domestic CNP-600 design under construction.
