Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) and three other companies are considering jointly setting up a new firm to build and manage a planned nuclear power station in Aomori Prefecture, northern Japan, the Japan Times has reported.The newspaper quoted “informed sources” as saying the three partners are Chubu Electric Power Company, Hitachi Ltd and Toshiba Corporation.Under the plan, the new company will build and run a new nuclear plant next to Tohoku Electric Power Company’s Higashi Dori-1 nuclear facility, which has been idle since the Fukushima-Daiichi accident.
